Find the sequence whose n^(th) term is...

Find the sequence whose ` n^(th)` term is ` 5^(n-1)` it a G.P. ? Find its fifth term .

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

` a_(n) = 5^(n-1)`
` a_(n-1) = 5^(n-2)`
Now ` (a_(n))/(a_(n-1)) = (5^(n-1))/(5^(n-2)) = 5^(n-1 - n+2) = 5 = a ` constant
Hence , given sequence is a G.P.
