If 5th nd 8th of a G.P. be 48 and 384 respectively. Findteh G.P. if ter of G.P. are real numbers.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given ` ar^(4) = 48 and ar^(7) = 384 `
` therefore (ar^(7))/(ar^(4)) = (384)/(48) = 8 `
` r^(3) = 8 `
` therefore r = 2 `
and a = 3
Thus G.P. is
3, 6, 12, 24 ,… .
