An object revolves uniformly in a circle...

An object revolves uniformly in a circle of diameter `0.80` m and completes 100 rev `"min"^(-1)`. Find its time period and angular velocity.

Text Solution

Diameter = 0.80 m
`therefore` Radius r = 0.4 m
Given that frequency.
v = 100 revolutions per minute.
`(100)/(60)` revolutions per second
therefore,
time period t = `(1)/(v) = (60)/(100)`s
T = 0.6 s
`because " " = (2pi)/(omega)`
`therefore omega = (2pi)/(T) = (2xx 3.14)/(0.6)`rad/s
= 10.466 rad/s
