For your agricultural field or garden you have developed a compost producing pit. Discuss the process in the light of bad odour, flies and recycling of wastes for a good produce.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The compost producing pit should not be very close to the house. It should be kept covered so that flies do not make entry into it and bad odour does not spread in the atmosphere. Only biodegradable part of the domestic waste should be deposited in the pit. The non-biodegradable part of the domestic waste such as glass, plastics, metal scrap, etc., should be sorted out from the waste before dumping it in the pit and should be sold for recycling.
