According to Arrhenius
Acid : Acids are the substances that dissociates in water to gave `H^(+)` ions. E.g. : `HCl, H_(2)SO_(4)` etc.
`H_(x_((aq))) to H_((aq))^(+)+X_((aq))^(-)`
Base : Bases are the substances that produce hydrorylions `(OH^(-))` ion dissociation in water e.g. `NaOH,KOH`
`MOH_((aq)) to M_((aq))^(+)+OH_((aq))^(-)`
