Lithium lodide is the most covalent among the alkali metal halides . Give the reason.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Lithium iodide is the most covalent among the alkalimetal halides.
Reasons:
The polarising capability of lithium ion is high
`Li^+` ion has very small size.
