From `T = 2pi sqrt((L)/( g))`, the time period of a simple pendulum is given by,
`T =2pi sqrt((L)/( g))`
From this relation one gets,
`L = (gT^2)/( 4pi^2)`
The time period of a simpie pendulum, which ticks seconds, is `2` s.
Therefore, for `g= 9.8 "ms"^(-2) " and " T = 2s`,
`L = (9.8 ("ms"^(-2) ) xx 4 (s^2) )/( 4pi^2)`
`=1`m .
