What is bagging technique? How is it useful in a plant breeding programme?

Covering the emasculated flower with a bag made of butter paper is called Bagging. In Artificial hybridisation technique, after the selection of parents, Anthers are to be removed from bisexual flower of a female parent is called Emasculation. After this, these emasculated flowers have to be covered with a bag of suitable size, generally made of butter paper. It is to be done to prevent contamination of the stigma with unwanted pollen. This process is called Bagging. Bagging technique is useful in producing new cultivar.
