How can you identify the male and female cockroaches ? Explain it discribing the chief structrures of the external and internal genitalia .

Explanation

Perplaneta is dioecious or unisexual and both the sexes have well developed reproductive organs. The sexual diamorphism is evident both externally and internally . The female is different from the the male in respect of short and broad abdomen ,presence of blood pouches and absence of anal styles. The eighth tergum in the male and both eighth and ninth targa in the famale are not visible . In the male ninth sterna are visible , whereas in the female only seventh sterma are visible . The seventh , eithth , ninth sterna together form broad pouch .
The posterior end of the abdomen is a pair of anal cerci , a pair of anal styles and gonophophyses in the males and cerci are jointed and arises from lateral side of tenth tergum and are found in both sexes . The anal styles are without joints and arise from the ninth sternum . But seen only in the males . The gonopophysis are small chitionous processes arising from the ninth sternum in the males and eigths , ninth sterna in the females . They are the external genital organs.
