The genes for sex influenced characters are autosomal genes present in both males and females. In sex influenced inheritance, the genes behave differently in the two sexes. Probably because sex hormones provide different cellular environment in males and females. Thus heterozygous phenotype may exhibit one phenotype in males and the contrasing one in females. Eg: Baldness in humans.
