Given : current in 6 ` Omega ` resistor `I_1 = 0.5 A` (i.e., the reading of ammeter B).
` therefore ` p.d. across 6 `Omega ` resistor `= 0.5 xx 6 = 3 V `
The same will be the p.d. across the 3 `Omega ` resistor connected in parallel with the 6 `Omega ` resistor. Therefore current in 3 `Omega `resistor is
`I_2 = (3V )/(3 Omega ) =1A`
Hence reading of ammeter C will be 1 A.
The ammeter A will read the total current
`I=I_1 +I_2 = 0.5 +1 = 1.5 A`
