a) Materials required:
Zn , Mg, dilute HCl, Test tube
Procedure: Take equal amounts of dilute HCl in two test tubes. Put a small piece of Mg in one test tube. Put a piece of Zn in another test tube with same size of Mg.
Observation: Reaction takes place faster in the test tube in which Mg is taken.
b) . Mg + 2HCl rarr MgCl_2 + H_2.
.Zn + 2HCl rarr ZnCl_2 + H_2.
c) .Rate of chemical reaction = frac{Amount of reactants get consumed}{Time taken for the consumption of the reactants}
. Rate of chemical reaction = frac {Amount of products formed}{Time taken for the formation of the product}
