When fruits and vëgetables are dried'and placed in whater, they slowly swell and refurn to orginal form, why? Does an increase in temperature accelerate the process? Explain.

When fruits and vegetables that have dried are placed in water .r_n. osmosis takes place, ie, water molecules pass through semipermeable membrane present in cell - walls, therefore, they swell. If temperature is.increased, osmosis will be faster.
