Clouds are colliodat systems and corisist of water vapours mixed with dust particles. The water molectles present in a cloud devélop sotne electrical charge. Therefore, chotids can be .made to rain by neutralising the charge present ori colloidal particles. This type of rain is.called artificial rain and may be calried out by spraying oppositely charged colloidat dust or sand particles over a cloud. This neutralises, the eharge on.water molecules and eompels-them to get congulated ie to rain.
