Metal sulphides occur mainly in rocksand metal halides in lakes and seas. Explain.

Metal halides are soluble in water hence dissolve. in rain water and are carried away to lakes and seas during weathering of rocks. But metal sulphides are insoluble in water henceare behind in the rocks as re^sidue.
