i. Transition metals have umpaired electrons and hence they show paramagnetic behaviour. ii. Due to the presence of unpaired electrons in the valence shell of transition metals, there is strong interatomic.bonding in them and hence have high enthalpies of atomisation. "iii. In transition metals there is unpaired electrons and these electrons can readily undergo đ -d transition and hence, they form coloured compounds. iv. Transition metals have vacant orbitals and can show variable oxidation states. Therefore they act as good catalyst.
