FeSO4 solution mixed with '(NH4)2 SO4' solution in 1 : 1 molar ratio gives the test of 'Fe^2+' ion but 'CuSO4' solution mixed with aqueous ammonia in'1 : 4 molar ratio does not give the test of 'Cu^2+' ion. Explain why?

FeSO_4.. does not form any complex with .(NH_4)_2 SO_4.. Instead, it forms a double salt .FeSO_d.. .(NH_4)_2 SO_4 dot 6 H_2 O. which dissociates completely into ions. .CuSO_4. when pilxed with .NH_j. forms a complex .[Cu(NH_3)_4] SO_4. in which the complex ion .Cu(NH_3)_4^2+. does not dissociate to give .Cu^2 i. ion.
