Uses of Freon-12 - It is widely used as :i. a refrigerant (cooling agent) in refrigerators-anđ air conditions.
ii. a propellant in aerosols and foams (i.e., hair sprays, deodorants, cleansers, insecticides etc.)
Uses of DDT-. It is widely used for sugarcane and
a fơdder crops and to kill mosquitoes and other insects. However, its use has been stopped in several advanced countries of the world.
Uses of carbon tetrachloride .- i.. It is used as an industrial solvent for oils, fats, resins. lacquers etc. and talso in dry-cleaning.
ii. As a fire extingulisher under the name of pyrene. Úses of iodoform - i. It is used as an antiseptic for dressing wounds
iii. It is,used in the preparation of certain pharmaceuticals.
