Each of these monomers possesses six carbon atoms and these numbers are represented in the name of the product as '6.6'. Nylon'6: It is formed by self condensation of a large number of 'molecules of amino caproic acid. The amino caproic acid has six carbon atoms and this number is represented in the name of the product.
