Let H denote the set of people.speak Hindi and E denote the set oóf people speak English .n(U)=400 rarr n(H uu E)=400.
.n(H)=250, n(E)=200.
.n(H uu E)=n(H)+n(E)-n(H nn E).
.400=250+200-n(H nn E).
.n(H nn E)=450-400=50.
.therefore 50. people can speak both Hindi and English.
