For what value of x and y 4x+i(3x-y)=3...

For what value of x and y
`4x+i(3x-y)=3-6i`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

We have .4 x+i(3 x-y)=3+i(-6) …...... .(1).
Equating the real and imaginary part of .(1)., we get .4 (x)=3,3 (x)-(y)=-6.
which on solving simultaneously, give .(x)=3 / 4. and .(y)=33 / 4..
