Let .P(x, y, z). be the point which divided line segment joining .A(1,-2,3). and .B(3,4,5). internally in the ratio .2: 3 .. Therefore .x=2(3)+3(1)2+3=95, y=2(4)+3(-2)2+3=25 z=2(-5)+3(3)2+3=-15. Thus, the required.point is .(95, 25, -1.5).
