We want to calculate 7 xx, `(3)/(4)`
`(3)/(4) xx 7=(3 xx 7)/(4)=(21)/(4)`
How do we split `(21)/(4)` ?
We divide 21 by 4 .and write like this:
`21=(5 xx 4)+1`
So, `(21)/(4)=((5 xx 4)+1)/(4)=(5 xx 4)/(4)+(1)/(4)=5+(1)/(4)=5 (1)/(4)` Thus 7 bottles contain `5 (1)/(4)` litres in all.
