An object is seen thorugh a simple microscope of focal length 12 cm. Find the angular mgnification produced if the image is formed at the near point of the eye which is 25 cm away from it.

A

37/12

B

25/12

C

Both

D

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
A

The angular magnification produced by a simple microscope when the image is formed at the near point of the eye is given by
`m=1+(D)/(f)`
Here `f =12 cm,D=25 cm`
Hence `m-1 +(25)/(12) =3.08`.
