The human ear can detect continuous sounds in the frequency range from 20 Hz to 20000 Hz. Assuming that the speed of sound in air is 330 `ms^(-1)` for all frequencies, calculate the wavelengths corresponding to the given extreme frequencies of the audible range.

For an open pipe, `f = (v)/(2l) n rArr l = (2v)/(2f).n`
Similarly for a closed pipe.
`l = (v)/(4f)(2n + 1) rArr l_(min) = (v)/(4f_(max))(2n + 1)_(max) = (336)/(4 xx 20000) = 4.2 mm`
`l_(max) = (v)/(2f_(min)) n_(max) = (v)/(2 xx 20) n_(max) = 8.4 (m) xx n_(max)`
