Use of Modern periodic table to answer the following questions:
(i) Identify an element with six electrons in the outermost shell.
(ii) Identify an element that would tend to lose one electron.
(ii) Identify an element that would tend to gain three electrons.
(iv) Identify the group having metal, non-metal, liquid as well as gas at `30^(@)C` temperature.

The correct Answer is:
(i) Electronic configuration must be `ns^(2)np^(4)`. So, `16^(th)` group elements. Eq. Oxygen
(ii) Electronic configuration must be `ns^(1)`.so , `1^(st)` group elements. Eq. Sodium
(iii) Electronic configuration must be `ns^(2) np^(3)`, So, `15^(th)` group elements. Eq. Nitrogen
(iv) `1^(st)` group consists of `H` (gas & non metal), `Li` (solid & metal), `N` (solid & metal), `K` (solid & metal), `Rb` (solid & metal) & `Cs` (liquid & metal).
