Multimolecular colloids: In this type, the particles consist of an aggregate of atoms or small molecules size less than `1` nm. For example, sols of gold atoms and sulphur `(S_(8))` molecules.
Macromolecular colloids : I In this types, the particles of the dispersed phase are sufficiently big in size (macro) to be of colloidal dimensions. Naturally occuring macromolecules are starch, cellulose, proteins. enzy mes, gelatin, etc.
Associated colloids (Micelles): These are the substances which behave as normal strong electrolyst at low concentration but behave as colloidal particles at high concentration. These associated particles are also called micelles. Ex. Soap.
