(i) When a beam of light is passed through a colloidal sol, then it appears bright at right angle from the incident beam. This phenomena is called Tyndall effect, it takes place due to scattering of light by colloidal particles.
(ii) Hydrated ferric oxide forms positive colloid, when electrolyte NaCl is added to it, coagulation takes place due to neutralization of charge of colloidal particles.
(iii) When electric current is passed through a colloidal sol then charged particles move towards oppositely charged electrode, this phenomena is called electeophoresis.
