(a) `NH_(3) + H_(2) hArr NH_(3). H_(2)O` (Ammonium hydoxide) `hArr NH_(4^(+)) (aq) + OH^(-) (aq)`
This reaction occurs to small extent only (1 -2%). Rest of `NH_(3)` remains unreacted.
(b) `NH_(3) (aq.) + HCl (aq.) hArr NH_(4)Cl (aq.)`
(c) `NH_(3) (aq.) + H_(2)O + CO_(2) (aq.) rarr NH_(4)HCO_(3)` (solvary ammonia process)
