Which will be adsorbed more readily on t...

Which will be adsorbed more readily on the surface of charcoal and why`-NH_(3)` or `CO_(2)`?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`NH_(3)` has higher critical temperature than that of `CO_(2)`, i.e. `NH_(3)` is more easily liquefiable than `CO_(2)` because `NH_(3)` has greater intermolecular forces of attraction and hence will be adsorbed more readily.
