In the figure there is a DC voltage regulator circuit, with a Zener breakdown voltage = 6V.If the unregulated input voltage varies between 10V to 16V,then what is the maximum Zener current?

`V=1R_(s)+V_(z) " "{V_("mass")=16 "volt"}`
`16=1R_(s)+6`
`iR_(s)=10" "i=10/(2xx10^(3))=5mA`
This current will be divided
`V_(z)=I_(L)R_(L)`
`6/4=I_(L)`
`impliesI_(L)=1.5mA`
So current through Zener `=3.5 mA`
