A planet travels in an elliptical orbit ...

A planet travels in an elliptical orbit about a star as shown. At what pair of points is the speed of the planet the same?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

False
Since the two identical trains are moving in opposite direction with the same speed along the equator, one exerts more pressure than the other. This is so because one of them is moving in the direction of earth’s rotation and other in the opposite direction, exerting different centrifugal forces.
