Generally a fruit consists of a wall or pericarp, and seeds. The pericarp may be dry or fleshy. When pericarp is dry thin and undifferentiated it is called dry fruit. In fleshy fruit, pericarp is fleshy and consists of outer (epicarp), middle (mesocarp) and inner (endocarp) walls.
