The correct Answer is:
A

Statement-2 is the algebraic interpretation of Rolle's Theorem. So, it is true.
Let `f(x) = ax^(3) + bx^(2) + cx`. Then, `f(0) = 0 and f(1) = a + b + c = 0`.
So, 0 and 1 are roots of f(x) = 0. Therefore, by statement-2, f'(x) = 0 i.e. `3ax^(2) + 2bx + c = 0` has a root between 0 and 1.
