`x^(2)-x+1=0 rArr x=-omega-omega^(2)`
For `x=-omega`, we have
`sum_(n=1)^(5)(x^(n)+1/x^(n))^(2)`
`=sum_(n=1)^(5){(-omega)^(n)+1/(-omega)^(n)}^(2)`
`=sum_(n=1,n in 3)^(5)(omega^(n)+omega^(2n))^(2)+(omega^(3)+omega^(6))^(2)`
`=(sum_(n=1), n in 3)^(5) (-1)^(2)+(2)^(2)`
`4+4=8`
