Mean of five numbers is 30.
Sum of five numbers `= 30 xx 5 =150`
Let the excluded number be x.
Then, mean of four numbers `=(150-x)/(4) = 28`
`rArr 150-x = 112 rArr x=150-122 = 38`
Hence, (d) is the correct answer.
