Evaluate `P(AuuB)`, if `2P(A) = P(B) =5/(13)`and `P(A|B) =2/5`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
N/a

`P(B)=5/13`
`2P(A)=5/13impliesP(A)=5/26`
`P(A//B)=2/5`
`implies(P(AnnB))/(P(B))=2/5`
`impliesP(AnnB)=2/5xxP(B)`
`=2/5xx5/13=2/13`
Now, `P(AuuB)=P(A)+P(B)-P(AnnB)`
`=5/26+5/13-2/13`
`=(5+10-4)/26=11/26`
