If f: R ->Ris defined by f(x) = x^2- 3x...

If `f: R ->R`is defined by `f(x) = x^2- 3x + 2`, find `f(f(x))`.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`f: R rarr R`
and `f(x)=x^2-3x+2`
`therefore f(f(x))=f(x^2-3x+2)`
`(x^2-3x +2)^2-3(x^2-3x+2 )+2`
`x^4+9x^2+4- 6x^3+4x^2-12 x - 3x^2+9x - 6 +2`
`=x^4-6x^3+10 x^2-3x`
