Types of RNA polymerase required in nucleus for RNA synthesis

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Three types of RNA polymerases existin cells . They are
A. RNA polymerase - I : It transcribes rRNA (28S, 18S and 5.8S)
B. RNA polymerase - II : It transcribes the precursor of mRNA , the heterogenous nuclear RNA ( In RNA)
C. RNA polymerase - III : It is responsible for transcription of tRNA , 5s rRNA and small nuclear RNAs .
