Where do plants get each of the raw materials required for photosynthesis?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The raw materials needed for photosynthesis are carbon dioxide and water.
Terrestrial plants absorb carbon dioxide from atmosphere through stomata while aquatic plants take `CO_(2)` from water through diffusion. Water is absorbed from soil by the roots and transported to leaves by xylem vessels.
