Asexual reproduction in yeast is a boon to food industry. Justify.

In a short period of time a large number of yeast cells are produced. These yeast cells actively participate in fermentation reaction during which carbon dioxide is produced that makes certain foods soft and spongy. Also during the fermentation reaction ethanol is produced which adds to the taste and flavor of the food.
