You are given kersoene, turpentine and water. In which of these does the light travel fastest ? [The refractive indices of Kerosene is 1.44 , Water is 1.33 , Turpentine oil is 1.47].

Light travels fastest in a material medium with lowest optical density i.e., lowest value of refractive index. In this case, since water has the least refractive index compared to the other material media, light will travel fastest in water.
