When a light ray emerges out after refraction at a rectangular glass slab, it is parallel to the incident ray. Why ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The bending of light ray at the air - glass interface is equal to the bending of the light ray at the glass - air interface. The incident ray is thus parallel to the emergent ray.
