What happens to the size of the image when the object is brought from infinity closer to (a) concave lens (b) convex lens ?

(a) When the object is brought from infinity closer to a concave lens, the image size slowly increases, but the size of the image is diminished when compared to size of object.
(b) When the object is brought from infinity closer to a convex lens, the image size increases, after a certain position, the image size is magnified when compared to the size of the object.
