Does dispersion occur in a prism ? Given reason.

No. Dispersion occurs when incident light is refracted by the glass of the prism which is a denser medium compared to air. A hollow prism is be filled with air and hence there is no denser medium, where refraction can occur. Hence, no dispersion shall occur. If the hollow prism is filled with a proper denser medium, dispersion becomes possible.
