Write a note on seminiferous tubules.

Explanation

A seminiferous tubule present in the testes of male is made up of a single layer of male germ cells and large Sertoli cells. The male germ cells undergo spermatogenesis to produce spermatocytes, spermatids and sperms. The region outside the seminiferous tubules called as interstitial spaces have blood vessels and Leydig cells. Leydig cells synthesise and secrete the male sex hormones called androgens or testosterone.
