Sertoli cells or subtentacular cells are present in between the germinal epithelial cells of seminiferous tubules. They provide nourishment to the developing spermatozoa. These cells secrete Androgen Binding Protein (ABP) that concentrates testosterone in the seminiferous tubules. It also secretes inhibin protein which suppresses FSH synthesis.
