Where is morula formed in humans? Explain the process of its development from zygote.

Morula is formed in the upper portion of oviduct called isthmus
Development of Morula from Zygote
(i) The haploid nucleus of the sperm and that of ovum fuse to form diploid zygote.
(ii) Zygote divides rapidly by mitotic divisions called as cleavage and as a result 2, 4, 8 and 16 daughter cells are produced, which are termed as blastomeres.
(iii) The embryo with 8-16 blastomeres is called morula.
