Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) are highly infections diseases that are mainly passed from one person to another during sexual intercourse.
These are generally acquired diseases and usually affect the reproducting system but may spread to other parts of the body as well. Syphilis, gonorrhoea, shlamydiasis, genital warts, etc., are common STDs.
STDs can affect male or female of any age and background. These diseases are also known as Venereal Diseases (VDs) or Reproductive Tract healthy society as these are reported to be high among youths of age 15-24 years. Except HIV, hepatitis-B and genital herpes, all other STDs are completely curable.
