Write a short note on tRNA

Explanation

(i) RNA is the smallest form of RNA. It is involved in transferring amino acids from cytoplasm to the ribosomes at the time of protein synthesis.
(ii) RNA has a secondary structure-like clover leaf. But its three dimensional structure depicts it as an inverted L-shaped molecule.
(iii) ERNA has five arms or loops, i.e. anticodon loop, amino acid acceptor end, T-loop, D-loop and variable loop.
(iv) tRNAs are specific for specific amino acid.
